Meet n' Greet with Jan St. Werner

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Berlin-based musician and composer Jan St. Werner -- solo artist and one half of one of the most consistently pioneering and innovative German electronic duos of all time, Mouse on Mars -- to the Clive Davis Institute.

Jan will be teaching a custom-designed, brand new class called “Experiments in the Future of Record Producing” during the Fall 2016 Semester as part of our inaugural semester of the Clive Davis Institute x Berlin program. The class looks at alternative 21st century methods of producing music based on the history of avant-garde and experimental art-making. The class will be held in a special venue: Mouse on Mars’s renowned recording studio at the historic/legendary Funkhaus Studios in Berlin.

During this meet n' greet, Jan will talk about his discography and videos, his methodology, and he’ll give some insight into studio/production class he’ll be teaching for us in Berlin in the Fall. He'll also talk about Funkhaus AND give some insight into the changing Berlin music scene.

Light refreshments will be served.

If you're an NYU student enrolled at another program, please email Nikki Mirasola to RSVP.
