Will Hermes is a contributing editor and senior critic for Rolling Stone and a longtime contributor to NPR’s “All Things Considered.” He's the author of Love Goes To Buildings On Fire: Five Years in New York That Changed Music Forever, a history of '70s New York music scene (a 2011 Editor's Choice in The New York Times Book Review) and co-editor of SPIN: 20 Years of Alternative Music (Crown/Three Rivers, 2006). His work has appeared in the Da Capo Best Music Writing series, as well as The New York Times, Slate, Salon, The Believer, the Village Voice, City Pages, The Windy City Times, and other publications. He's currently writing a biography of Lou Reed.
