Nicole Otero has been a world traveling DJ for 16 years, starting her career at WNYU when she was studying Music Technology at Steinhardt. Nicole’s passion for underground dance music enabled her to be a staple in nightlife rocking parties in NYC and around the globe. Unique deep house productions are her passion with releases on CR2 Records UK remixed by Arno Cost and Thomas Gold, as well as releases on her own NYC label Lovebreak Music.
Two influential residencies that Nicole Otero gained much acclaim from are the infamous APT in Meatpacking District and celebrity hot spot SubMercer in Soho. Since 2008 Nicole has DJ'd fashion events for clients such as Michael Kors, Elle Magazine, Alberta Ferretti, Armani Bar in Hong Kong and Style Network's Rihanna Pre Party. Private events have varied from weddings at The W Hotel and corporate events such as Coca Cola's 50th Anniversary Party in Las Vegas.
Nicole’s music education started with private piano lessons, studying Voice at LaGuardia H.S., Music Technology at NYU and finally completing her MFA in Music Education at Hunter College. Her teaching experience includes private piano and voice lessons, DJ lessons at Scratch DJ Academy, teaching Kundalini Yoga and teaching music with the Department of Education in various elementary and middle schools.
