Robert Glasper Joined by Terrace Martin, Kim Thompson, Big K.R.I.T., & Punch in Miles Davis Class

Last night's Miles Davis course co-taught by Robert Glasper and Ashley Kahn, was nothing short of amazing. Special guests including Grammy-award winning Terrace Martin, rapper Big K.R.I.T., Beyonce dummer Kim Thompson, and Top Dawg Ent President Punch, spoke on Miles from cultural and historical perspectives; looked at business and legal issues, and how the lessons of Miles's career can help guide young musicians. Faculty Jeff Peretz was brought in to talk about the relationship between Miles and the guitar. 

Most significantly, student production/recording teams from the class stepped up and presented original music that was built from live music performed in the studio a week before by Robert Glasper's trio.
