Nick Hakim grew up in Washington DC, went to the Berklee College of Music, and has been based in New York since 2013. His diverse influences range from Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield, to Madlib and MF Doom, to South American folk, and DC punk and Gogo records. He’s toured with Maxwell, Adrianne Lenker, Lil Yachty, Weyes Blood, Khruangbin, KING, Fleet Foxes and many more.
