60th GRAMMY Awards Nominate ReMu Alum and Faculty

The 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards are just around the corner. On January 28, 2018, they'll take place in New York City for the first time since 2003. And we're proud to announce that ReMu alum and faculty have been nominated!

ReMu Alums David Biral and Denzel Baptiste were nominated for their FIRST Grammy nomination "Best Urban Contemporary Album" for their work on Free 6LACK.

ReMu professor Jim Anderson worked as the surround mix engineer on "Early Americans" which was nominated Best Surround Sound Album. 

Soundbreaking: Stories from the Cutting Edge of Recorded Music, the PBS Series, was nominated for Best Music Film. ReMu professor Jason King worked on the series as a Creative Consultant, and appeared in multiple episodes, along with three other instructors, Ashley Kahn, Vivien Goldman and Ahmir ?uestlove Thompson who make appearances in it.

ReMu instructor Alan Silverman's Aerial Sound studio was chosen for mastering by these artists whose albums have been nominated for GRAMMYs: Raul Midon, Arturo O’Farrill, Chucho Valdes, Jane Ira Bloom (stereo version), Karen Peck & New River, Joseph Habedank, and The Collingsworth Family.
