Join us for a Screening of The Black Godfather followed by Nicole Avant in conversation with CDI Assistant Arts Professor Naima Cochrane!

Nicole Avant is the best selling author of “Think You’ll Be Happy- Moving Through Grief with Grit, Grace and Gratitude”, and the producer of The Black Godfather, a riveting documentary that follows the life of Nicole's father, Clarence Avant, the ultimate, "uncensored mentor and behind-the-scenes rainmaker" in music, film, TV and politics. As a music executive, Mr. Avant shaped the sound of more than 50 years of American popular music.
