Kicking off Welcome Back Week, the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, in partnership with NYU's Program Board, NYU's Center for Student Life, Ebony JET, and Universal Music Group's UMusic Experience initiative, will present "Elements of Hip Hop" on Tuesday, September 12 at the Eisner & Lubin Auditorium.
Embedded in the programming, Ebony JET and Universal Music Group's UMusic Experience will host an exclusive masterclass with G.O.O.D. Music's President and Grammy Nominated Recording Artist Pusha T, and Steven Victor, SVP of A&R at Universal Music Group.
Performances will include Nerika, DJ Young Slade, Kunta, Ceezar, and Proda and Highclass Hoodlums.
The conversation will be moderated by Soraya Joseph, a former hip hop editor-in-chief turned all around media maven for the likes of Viacom/VH1, xoNecole and many more. Soraya is currently the social media manager and digital content curator for Ebony and JET magazine. In 2015, she had the honor of being the youngest listed on the Power 105 'Top Women in Media,' list.
