David Leeks: The Entrepreneurial Manager

It's common for artist managers to wear multiple hats, but how much of an entrepreneur do you have to be to succeed as one? Business  manager and entrepreneur David Leeks  will explore the nature of his role and how his background as a marketer and brand architect informs  his management style and decision making. He will  also share his  "starter kit"  for up and coming artists, pitfalls to watch out for, how best to avoid them, and how to build your team.

As a partner of SE Management Firm , David helps to oversee and guide the careers of some of the music industry’s most recognized talent, including multi-platinum artist and Grammy nominee 2 Chainz, Travis Porter, Young Dolph and many others. Mr. Leeks has also strategized tour management for various artists in the genres of hip-hop and R&B including Tamar Braxton, August Alsina, Toni Braxton and Yo Gotti.
