4:43 x 4:44: A Conversation with Candice Benbow and Darian Symoné Harvin

Join us for an evening of conversation with writer and educator Candice Benbow as she discusses her viral response piece, 4:43 to Jay Z’s recently released album, 4:44, alongside BuzzFeed's very own Darian Symoné Harvin and the host of the podcast, "Am I Allowed To Like Anything."

Beyond 4:44’s musicality, we will look at it through a Black Feminist lens to deconstruct his relationship with Beyoncé and what that means overall about how current society views intimate relationships, labor, and trauma.

A screening of 4:44 will begin at 6 PM and precede the conversation in the NYU Production Lab at 16 Washington Place.
