Tisch Orientation 2015

Wednesday, Sep 9, 2015

As the first full week of classes begins, it doesn’t yet feel like fall!  Temperatures are still in the 90’s, shirts and tank tops are still seen up and down Broadway and we are still coming off a great week of activities from Tisch Orientation!

This year’s orientation was shorter than usual with just four days to impart knowledge, take tours, offer advice and have allow our new students to get to know each other.  Through events such as Freshmen Book Talks, Tisch 101, The Dean’s Welcome, our Graduate Networking Reception and more, over 1,000 new students were welcomed to Washington Square.  We even have some photos for you to relive those memories!

With orientation being shortened this year, we are looking forward to extending some of our traditional programs into this week.  On Thursday, September 10th we will have our club fair from 10am-1pm where students can come, learn more about our Tisch Clubs and get involved with all they have to offer.  We will also have our student government vacant positions posted so be on the lookout for those in your NYU email!

Lastly, enjoy the opening of the new semester.  We have been waiting all summer for our students to return, to bring with them the energy, excitement and enthusiasm that we have been missing since May.  Welcome back!
