Nico Cabalquinto

Nico Cabalquinto is a queer non-binary Filipinx-American light artist. They use digital fabrication tools, audiovisual equipment and interactive technologies for their light sculptures and installations to transform public spaces, blur material boundaries, enhance live performances, and bring communities together.

Nico recently earned their Masters of Professional Studies from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program in May 2021. They earned their Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Rutgers University, with their studies primarily focusing on photography. Their work has been featured at Elsewhere, National Sawdust, The Other Art Fair, and various community art spaces throughout Brooklyn.
