High Season for Applying to Graduate School

Thursday, Nov 12, 2015

Mid Fall is prime time for preparing that application to Graduate School. Those of you seeking entry to a master's or doctoral degree program at Tisch should now be checking that everything is lined up: academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, a short but well written personal statement that provides some biographical details as well as your goals and aspirations for your future career, and a one to two page curriculum vitae that highlights your creative and/or scholarly attainments.  If you are applying to a conservatory program, or ITP, or the Game Design Department, you should have a good feel for what you wish to present by way of a creative portfolio or audition piece and how and when these have to be submitted or where you need to be for the in-person audition.

At Tisch we are anticipating the first wave of applications by December 1st. Even if your chosen program has a January 1st deadline please consider applying early.  This way you get everything wrapped up and out of the way before the start of the December holiday season.

If you have questions about the portfolio or audition please contact the relevant Department.  If you have questions about the application procedures please contact the Tisch Graduate Admissions Office at: tisch.gradadmissions@nyu.edu.  If you are experiencing technical difficulties please contact the NYU Technical Support team.  Their e-mail and phone contact information is located on the application for admission.

We want to ensure that your Tisch Graduate School Application is successfully submitted and complete.  To that end we want you to know that we will make every effort to provide the highest possible service.  Feel free to personally contact me by phone or e-mail.
