Collaborate at Tisch

Monday, Sep 26, 2016

Get ready to hear the word collaboration echo the walls of each and every Tisch department this school year. The student-arm of this year’s biggest school-wide mission is the Tisch Talent Guild, TTG for short. TTG is our artist resource for finding collaborators across all departments here at Tisch School of the Arts.

Collaborate… work together.

There is no reason a Film & TV student shouldn’t have a story from a Dramatic Writer or actors from Drama. There is no reason a Dramatic Writing student shouldn’t be able to hear their words read aloud in a reading, a theatrical production, a short film or webseries. There is no reason a Drama student should struggle to find a piece of writing to breathe life into, for a play or film to showcase their talent. There is no reason a music maker shouldn't have their music featured in a student film or not to have access to filmmakers for a music video.  Who doesn't need a dancer to help choreograph a stage work, film or music video? How many Drama and Film and TV students could benefit from some great Photography and Imaging students for set stills, maybe even some headshots and LinkedIn pictures for all of our creatives. Artists need each other!

Collaborators… in and of all departments at Tisch School of the Arts.

Artists can and should be building their teams now. Find other voices that coincide with yours, across all mediums and talents. Challenge your voice and your style in collaborating with others who bring something else, something new to the table, for the sake of creating something.

Create… projects… art...

All of New York University, not only Tisch, wants to see and experience student work – produced/filmed by students, performed by students, written by students, and created by students. This school year we, Tisch School of the Arts and the Tisch Talent Guild, are more focused than ever in fostering collaborative efforts to create student work to showcase to our peers, our professors, the arts community and the rest of the world what we are already capable of. Because while we will undoubtedly continue to grow as artists, we are already capable of so much. After all, that’s why we’re here at Tisch School of the Arts. It starts here, it starts now. Get collaborating.
