Once you have been admitted to Tisch, we will determine which eligible college courses we can award for transfer credits. For consideration of transfer credits from conservatory study, an official transcript is required. In addition, a thorough review of prior coursework, learning objectives/outcomes, the level of content/instruction of the courses, and grade earned must be evaluated by the Chair of the major department. If you are interested in reviewing credits from a conservatory, please discuss this matter with your academic advisor and prepare to submit course syllabi, descriptions, and graded coursework if applicable. After the evaluation on whether the course meets Tisch's academic standards, the advisor will inform the student of the outcome. If transfer credits are approved by the Chair of the department and the academic dean's office, the advisor will submit a request to the Registrar to transfer credits.
