YORB 2020, a multi-user online space
As a part of the Empire State Maker Faire 2020, ITP/IMA showcased the history behind and their latest work on YORB2020 - a multi-user, online social space. Created in response to the quarantine conditions of COVID-19, YORB2020 attempts to provide the ITP/IMA community with a shared virtual space to hang out, collaborate and work near each other. The latest developments include interactive media sharing via virtual projection screens. These screens allow students to show their work, perform, and even get help debugging projects. The following students were able to share their work live in the YORB space:
- Toilet Paper Mania
by Yiting Liu
A virtual museum in the shape of toilet paper roll invites you to relive, rethink, and reflect your change of behaviors towards the toilet paper mania during COVID-19. - Bubble World
by Sihan Zhang
Interact with bubbles in the browser by moving your hands/head. - ITP Weather Band
presented by Schuyler Devos
