User Friendly

ITP Alum and former Adjunct Faculty member Robert Fabricant is releasing a new book, User Friendly.

Per Robert:

It has been a long journey, 5+ years in the making, but I am delighted that User Friendly will finally be released on November 19th. What is the book about? You might think that user experience design was invented by Apple, but the origin story is far more unusual and compelling. Six years ago I reached out to Cliff Kuang, the only writer I knew capable of reporting and capturing this paradigm shift for a broad audience. The result is User Friendly: How the Hidden Rules of Design Are Changing the Way We Live, Work, and Play, which he so eloquently crafted and which I am proud to have helped bring to life.  The book does a much better job than I ever could of explaining what I do every day to my friends and family – so I hope you will check it out.

There will be two launch events in NYC for the book, one on Tuesday December 10th at Postlight Studios in Union Square and one on Thursday, December 12th at Frog Design in Dumbo.
