ITP Energy Workshop

an electrical panel in a brick wall

Did you know ITP has a system in place to monitor all of the electricity and energy we use on the floor?  It's called Enertiv, and it measures everything down to the individual electrical outlet.  You can see how much energy is used in room 50 every day, or what it takes to run the laser cutters all week.  They also have an API.

We are hosting a workshop to introduce you to the data available and the Enertiv API. We will look at what data enertiv API makes available to us and how we can use it. We will also touch on server-side programming with Node.js, we will access the API with Node via HTTP requests and OAuth2. By the end of the workshop we will learn how to access realtime data using the API and how we can display this data on the web.

Organized by ITP students Viniyata Pany and Mathura Govindarajan, ITP Residents Jingwen Zhu and Yining Shi, ITP Faculty Advisor, Tom Igoe.
