Scenarios for a Post-COVID World

For years, the Future of Media class that I teach at New York University's renowned Interactive Telecommunications Program has offered a public presentation of scenarios of the future. These presentations have developed a following, and for good reason. They combine a compelling view of possible futures with candid discussion.

This summer, writer/commentator Juliette Powell and I co-conducted the class. For the first time, it was conducted entirely online (through Zoom).

And this year, for the year 2025, there are only two scenarios to think about:

     A. In 2025, the pandemic is a memory.

      B. In 2025, the pandemic is still driving human decision-making around the world.

These two alternative futures incorporate our understanding of what will happen with technology, social values, geopolitics, and more.

Join us on Monday, August 9, at 12:30 PM (noon) Eastern time (New York time).

Using Zoom, we will hear presentations of both futures -
and then have an online discussion about what it could mean and where it is going.

If you'd like to live with us in the future for a little while, please join us.

To attend: RSVP Art Kleiner at my NYU email address: apk1@nyu.edu

We will send an invite and Zoom link to those who RSVP.
You'll receive the link by Sunday, August 8.
