The Black List

The Blacklist (https://blcklst.com/lists/) is the famed ranking of Hollywood's best unproduced scripts. Since 2005, over 300 Black List screenplays have been made as feature films.

This year we send our congratulations out to four students who made the 2017 list.

Ben Epstein (2003) for The Prospect.
The story of how Michael Jordan used a year as a baseball prospect to find himself after his father's death.

Misha Green (2006) for The Mother.
A female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the pre-teen daughter she gave up years before.The Mother was acquired by Netflix after an intense bidding war (http://www.tracking-board.com/netflix-lands-female-centric-spec-mother-from-misha-green/).

Matthew Firpo (2012), RUIN.
An ex-Nazi Captain navigates the ruins of post-war Europe, determined to atone for his war crimes by hunting down the surviving members of his former SS Death Squad with the help of a desperate, young camp survivor. It is slated to shoot in Fall 2018. It is also a winner of, Hit List, Blood List and a is 2017 Academy Nicholl Semi-Finalist. http://mkf.tv/ruin/

Cosmo Carlson (2016), Valedictorian.
An obsessive type-A student vows to secure the valedictorian title before school ends by any means necessary, even murder.
