International Student Thanksgiving

Tuesday, Nov 29, 2016

A most convivial and fun-filled Thanksgiving Dinner was attended by well over a hundred Tisch international students on Tuesday, November 22nd on the 9th floor of the 721 Broadway building.  All of the traditional fare was present:  turkey, turkey stuffing, gravy, harvest-time vegetables, corn bread, and of course the succulent pies.  Anita Gupta, Jean Chen-Villalba and Jessica Smith oversaw the set-up and food distribution with timely assistance from Todd Pettiford. Dan Sandford played DJ.  Students contributed to the music mix with many splendid requests.  At the height of the festivities, when the crowd was at maximum capacity, Dan turned off the music and gave his traditional brief talk on the origins of this important American tradition and what Thanksgiving means to Americans far and wide.  A good time was had by all!
