Christina Dacanay
Resident Researcher
Christina Dacanay work is focused around online communities and how to knit healthy social fabric on the web. Her master's thesis was an investigation into the redpilled and Q Anon communities over the course of the 2020 election. She currently stewards the ml5.js project, an educational platform for “friendly machine learning for the web”.
Previously, she worked as a product designer at Codecademy, graphic designer Penguin Random House, and educator at the Society of Illustrators and the Walters Museum of Art. She holds a BFA illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a MPS from the NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP).
