Cheryl Wong is a Singaporean filmmaker currently based in New York City. She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2013 where she majored in Communications and New Media and minored in Theatre Studies. She spent two years fencing full-time for Singapore, during which she served as the Captain of the women’s foil team. She has worked with Singaporean filmmaker, TheBoyWhoCriedAction, starting out as a production assistant and eventually as a line producer, as well as Singaporean company Stardust Story as a production manager on a television series.

Cheryl obtained her MFA in filmmaking from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2020 where she was a Willard T.C. Johnson fellow as well as a recipient of the Tisch School of the Arts Masters Film Future Fund Scholarship.
