NYU Announces Third Annual Climate Change Film Festival

New York University proudly invites you to its Third Annual Climate Change Film Festival, a showcase of science-driven, climate-focused events and films aimed at raising awareness, presenting innovative solutions, and inspiring positive change.

Festival Highlights:
EXPO: 12 P.M. Open to all of NYU discover courses and research on climate, environment, and sustainability (with snacks!).
Live-Stream Available: The Zoom link will go live at 3:45 P.M. on April 21
4:00 P.M. Science Panel, Screenings and Awards: space is limited EVENTBRITE
Keynote Speaker: Dr. James Hansen “father of global warming,” Dr. Hansen will share insights from his research and is looking forward to engaging in conversations with students.
Film Screenings: Watch the top ten winning entries from NYU and UArctic students and alumni, with prize$ awarded on stage.
Event closing to 7:00 - conversations and snacks.
Submit Your Film!
- Open to: NYU and UArctic students and alumni.
- Length: 1–3 minutes (any genre, including experimental and documentary)
- Deadline: The submission link is live now and closes on April 15
- Cash Prizes: 1st place award $1500 • two 2nd place $550 • three 3rd place $150 Honorable Mentions (4) $100
Beyond NYU:
Winning films will also be showcased at the Marché du Film in Cannes on May 15, and at the Icefjord Center in Ilulissat on June 6—bringing your climate story to international audiences.
