Lonely Road is about two lonely people who find each other on the road; one is a quiet and determined hitchhiker on their way to California to chase the love of their life; the other is a woman on her way to say goodbye to her dying wife. As times passes, the two connect more than either was expecting.

Elo Santa Maria is a 3rd year grad student at TIsch Grad Film. They moved to New York City from Austin, Texas and their films primarily take place in the south. Their background is in visual arts, and they integrate their visual style into the films they write. Elo has worked in film as a camera person for over 8 years, and is thrilled to be able to write and direct their own work.
