UGFTV Alum and Faculty, Zoya Baker on right
Congratulations to UGFTV Alum and Faculty, Zoya Baker, for winning the 2017 Portland EcoFilm Festival's Best Short Film Award for her film, Cranberry Lake.
Cranberry Lake is a 17-minute documentary about SUNY-ESF students taking immersive field courses at Cranberry Lake Biological Station in the Adirondacks.
An observational portrait of ecologists, filmed at Cranberry Lake Biological Station during immersive field courses which are central to the Forest Biology curriculum at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF). Bridging the gap between theory and practice, experiential education combined with ecological immersion deepens connections through inquiry, observation, and discovery.
