Syreeta Gates, Queens Central Library, Fall 2019
In my Fall 2019 semester, I interned at Queens Public Library. I had a unique situation that resulted in me switching internships mid-semester, which led to me being able to work on their Hip Hop Programs collection. I really appreciated this opportunity as I’ve been wanting to work on a hip hop collection since I arrived in the program. During my time there I got a chance to reorganize their DAMS platform and curate a resource in their Aviary platform.
