Andrew Lazarow
Adjunct Instructor
Andrew is a researcher and adjunct professor at ITP. As an artist he primarily works as a video designer for theater, dance, and opera. This semester he is designing a new rock musical, "Head Over Heels" that will play in San Francisco before coming to Broadway in 2018. Some of his past shows include "Terms of My Surrender" with Michael Moore on Broadway, "Privacy" (Interactive Technology Consultant) with Daniel Radcliffe at the Public Theater, and "I am Harvey Milk" with Kristin Chenoweth at Lincoln Center. Andrew's residency research is devoted to creating tools to help artists collaborate more effectively by using low-cost motion capture solutions. His research areas also include optical illusions, the biology of seeing, protest art, and semiotics. His classes include "Designing for Live Performance" "Nothing," and he has been a thesis advisor at ITP.
