Allison Parrish, ITP Faculty, Featured Artist for Word.Art Salon

Thursday, Apr 3, 2025

The Word.Art Salon will convene at CultureHub to examine how interactivity, games, robotics, wearables, AI, XR, and other digital technologies inform new practices in liveness.

Works are selected through an open call center language, performance, performed language, and technology as artistic media. These short performed works are 5-20 minutes and include sound, movement, theatrical storytelling, literature, film, code, as well as any hard-to-categorize new modes in between.

Selected artists for the Word.Art Salon are: Allison Parrish, Qiujiang Levi Lu, Andrea Moreno + Yueyang Luo/Lo, A.J. Cincotta-Eichenfield, and Dahlia Bloomstone.

The Word.Art Salon is presented by CultureHub on April 24th at 7pm in a lively evening of experimentation, co-curated by Kat Mustatea and Itziar Barrio, and hosted by EdgeCut Arts.
