Online High School Workshops Application Requirements

REQUIREMENT

CRITERIA

• You must be a current high school student (freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior) at the time of your application.

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 unweighted scale.

• Students are required to supply their own technology for this program.

• Students must use a desktop or laptop computer with a webcam, microphone, and audio capability. 

• This online course works best with a fast, reliable internet connection, and requires Chrome web browser.

Written Responses

• You must answer 3 questions in addition to any program-specific prompts.

• Each repsonse must have a maximum of 250 words. Be clear and succinct.

• This résumé should showcase your training, awards, projects, community service, and work experience, whether in or outside of school.

• You may also include URL hyperlinks to your online media (i.e. video, music, photography, etc.)

• Please check NYU’s Visual Guide to a successful résumé.

• Upload a copy of your transcript in PDF format. Your transcript must display your full name, school/institution, courses, and grades for every semester/year that you have been in high school.

• Homeschooled Applicants: Please have your parent/guardian in charge of your homeschooling email a document detailing your coursework and academic achievement in to tisch.special.admissions@nyu.edu. 

• Non-US/Non-English Transcripts: You must submit your official transcript AND its official English translation. Please upload both documents in PDF format.

• Required if English is not your native language. 

• You are exempt from this requirement if (at the time of your application submission), you have completed three (3) or more full-time consecutive academic years in a curriculum where the only language of instruction was English.

Scholarship Application

(Summer Only)

• Tisch has a limited number of scholarships for the Summer Online Workshops. Scholarships are given to students who demonstrate the most financial need.

• A link to the online scholarship application will be emailed to you once you submit a complete admissions application and supplemental profile form.

• All applications must be completed and submitted by the application deadline.

• Please visit our Admissions Calendar to keep track of important dates and deadlines.

Notification

• Final status notifications will be sent on the dates listed in our Admissions Calendar.

• Notifications are communicated via email to the primary email address used for the application.

• If accepted, you will be required to confirm or decline your participation.

• To confirm for Summer Online Workshops, you must submit a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of $1,500 (USD). Deposits must be received by the confirmation deadline indicated in your acceptance letter. 

• To confirm for Fall Online Workshops, you must pay the tuition in full (see below).

• If you do not confirm your participation by the deadline, your spot will be rescinded. 

• It is important that you review and understand the Tisch Special Programs Cancellation Policy prior to submitting your confirmation form. Details can be found on the Tisch Special Programs Cancellation Policy page.

• Payments are made via NYU eSuite, NYU's eCheck system. 

• International students must confirm your participation by paying via Flywire, NYU's wire transfer system. Instructions for third-party payments are available on the NYU Bursar's website.

• For international students paying via Flywire, please send a copy of your receipt to tisch.special.admissions@nyu.edu
