Founded in 1995, the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba (LFC) is a non-governmental, non-profit institution located in Havana. Its mission is to protect and promote Cuban artists in Cuba and internationally. LFC continues to evolve, redefining its principles, goals and work focus depending on the needs and challenges faced by Cubans in a rapidly changing world. From architecture to mobile app development and theatrical readings to graphic design, the Foundation works to educate, promote, and protect the work of Cuba’s emerging artists.

Documentary Video Production in Havana is a full-time program offered in collaboration with the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba and the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry. Students research and connect with Cuban culture, taking master classes and workshops while exploring various aspects of documentary practice and Cuban cinema.

The Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague is one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious film schools. FAMU is an independent academy which focuses on audio and visual media within a cinematic framework. The FAMU faculty are active members of the Czech filmmaking community (including established cinematographers, directors, editors, scholars, and writers). FAMU alumni include Jiri Menzel (Closely Watched Trains), Milos Forman (Amadeus and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest) and Agnieszkha Holland (Europa Europa).

Tisch has been collaborating with FAMU since 1998 to train students in the theoretical and practical approaches to 35 mm filmmaking. NYU and visiting students learn the Czech storytelling traditions while directing one short 35mm film project and working as the director of photography on another. During the academic year, students pursue 35mm production and a full course load; in the summer students focus on 35 mm production only. 

Tisch has been collaborating with the development of the Dominican History Experience Museum (MEHD), located at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, one of the most beautiful and important tourist spots in the Caribbean. This will be a new model of institution, which will reveal the complete history of the nation through its structure, based on the arts.

Since its inception, MEHD has taken into account the importance and ultimate value of preserving the natural resources of the country and for this reason, it has been designed with a circular economy and unparalleled bio sustainability. Tisch, has been advising MEHD on a wide range of matters, which include: production, technology, special effects, equipment, facilities for artistic training, and workshops that will be offered at this new institution. 3iS International Institute for Image and Sound is the leading audiovisual campus in Europe. The school trains students in image and sound professions: cinema, audiovisual, technical and stage management, 2D and 3D animation cinema, video games, multimedia graphic design, etc. 

3iS and Tisch are partnering for academic exchanges. Through this exchange, 3iS and NYU Tisch will offer joint educational and cultural events, and 3iS students will be eligible to apply to attend Sight and Sound classes and Intermediate Experimental Film Production class at NYU Tisch.

Ecole nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière is a public establishment under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. The school offers professional, theoretical and practical, technical and artistic training, dedicated to cinema, photography, and sound. 

Sound and camera students from Ecole nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière collaborate with second-year students in the Tisch Graduate Film Program on the Tisch students' second-year film projects.

For 50 years, the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the United Kingdom has been training award-winning creative talent in film, television, and games content. NFTS offers over 30 masterclasses, as well as diploma, certificate, and short courses. NFTS alumni include Oscar winning cinematographer Roger Deakins, Oscar winning animator Nick Park, creator of Wallace & Gromit, acclaimed directors Lynne Ramsay (You Were Never Really Here, We Need to Talk About Kevin) and David Yates (the Harry Potter series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and renowned documentary makers Kim Longinotto (Pink Saris, Gaea Girls) and Nick Broomfield (Whitney: Can I Be Me, Kurt and Courtney).

The Tisch course Directing the Actor is offered in collaboration with NFTS every spring at the Beaconsfield Studios, outside of London. The practical workshop, open to undergraduate NYU and visiting students, gives students the opportunity to work with a casting director and professional actors, and shoot their final scene on NFTS’ state-of-the-art sound stages.

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London is a world-leader in training for the dramatic arts. The Academy offers vocational training for actors, stage managers, designers, and technical stagecraft specialists. Notable alumni include Sir Anthony Hopkins, Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman, Mark Rylance, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Phoebe Fox, Gemma Aterton, and Taron Egerton.

For over 20 years, Tisch has maintained an exclusive collaboration with RADA, offering actors a rigorous, full-time semester to channel the expressiveness and depth of Shakespeare’s work. The advanced studio training Shakespeare in Performance at RADA, coupled with companion courses, is offered to undergraduate Tisch and visiting students in the spring and fall semesters.
