The Wallpaper Company
Performance Studies alum Elsa Lepecki Bean (B.F.A '20) and her theatre group The Wallpaper Company (Federico Mostert (B.F.A. '20), Adam O'Connell (B.F.A. '20) have been featured in American Theater Magazine as part of a brand new theatre festival: Post Theatrical, an experiment in mail-order theatre produced by Real/Time Interventions and premiering in Spring 2021. The goal of this festival is to utilize the postal service as a motivating force and medium. The piece, “all light on earth comes from somewhere else,” seeks to reclaim lost futures from the wake of scrubbed archives, burnt evidence, fabricated ephemera, and rot. Six narratives commingle, collapse, and contradict each other to form one lost archive, whose expanse is only revealed at the end of the correspondence. Tickets go on sale in early 2021.
