Fall 2024 Registration

Fall 2024 Registration* 

The Fall 2024 registration advisement period will take place May 28, 2024 - June 4, 2024 and students will be able to register beginning June 5, 2024. Students will register for 3 four-credit courses (12 credits total):

  1. PERF-GT 1000, Introduction to Performance Studies (4 credits, mandatory)**

  2. PERF-GT Elective (4 credits)*

  3. PERF-GT Elective (4 credits)*

*Elective courses will be selected during registration in June and finalized with your faculty advisors immediately following orientation. Please review the Graduate Course page for elective course offerings.

**Students must enroll in PERF-GT 1000, Introduction to Performance Studies, and will be assigned to a corresponding recitation section by the department.

Next Steps | Faculty Advisor Survey

Please complete the Faculty Advisor Survey emailed to incoming students by June 15, 2024.

Upon entering the master's program, students are assigned to a faculty Academic Advisor and to Student Services Administrator Allison Brobst. The faculty Academic Advisor focuses on providing academic and professional guidance while answering any field-specific research questions. Faculty academic advisors provide a supportive academic environment and intellectual experience for each graduate student. Allison Brobst, Student Services Administrator, focuses on program requirements and tracking through the program. She can help with registration, schedule changes, transfer credits, and tracking students' degree progress.

Summer to do List

  • Submit your Student Profile by August 1, 2024. Get to know your cohort through their student profiles, and learn about the other students in the PS community. 

  • Apply for Jobs on Campus Via Handshake. All on-campus job opportunites for students are posted on Handshake. Students can find both Federal Work Study and non-Federal Work Study positions here.

  • Obtain your NYU ID Card. An NYU ID card is required to enter most buildings on campus. Please obtain your ID card before you need to access any building on campus.
