Performance Studies Alum Mark Lockwood (M.A. '17) was awarded the LGBTQ Collections Award Fellowship at the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library at Emory University. There, he will complete a short-term residency and look at archival material related to his dissertation which examines masculinity, visuality, and performance in gay pornography's "thug porn" genre. Currently, Mark is a PhD student in the Department of American Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research interests are in pornography, sex work, oral history, harm reduction, black sexuality, and erotic archives.
