Commiserate Chicago
ITP Students Caren Ye, Roi Ye, and Chun Song are featured in Commiserate Chicago 2020's exhibition at the MADD Center in partnership with the University of Chicago. Their projects focus on reelectronics. Relectronics are electronics which abandoned their original identity and create alternative realities and interactions with humans. A machine-in-itself. The whole series is composed of 3 independent installations that share the same concept. An electric fan turns into a turntable. A set of phones turns into a whack-a-mole game. A turntable turns into a bubble machine.
