Reuben Hamlyn, GRAD

Bitter Weeds

​​Reuben is a writer/director/editor from London. His feature documentary, Another Body, won the Special Jury Prize at SXSW 2023 and was released in multiple territories. It was nominated for an Emmy in ‘Outstanding Direction - Documentary’, and two BIFAs. His fiction short, Bitter Weeds, was shortlisted for the student Academy Award.

Jenny has an extensive background in directing diverse content, ranging from narrative film, to commercial, as well as music video. She has directed content for brands including BBC, Google, TOMS, Warner Music, WHO Foundation, Captain Morgan, AriZona and The New York Times, and directed music videos for artists including The Voice winner Sawyer Fredericks, Grammy Award winners Dan + Shay, and Larry Campbell. Her work has been recognized at international film festivals, featured at global conferences including COP28, and highlighted in The New York Times and Rolling Stone.

From small town Illinois, Veronica Hein is a recent graduate from Film/TV at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She enjoys multiple facets of film including acting, producing, writing, directing, and sound mixing. To Veronica, there is nothing more fulfilling than creative collaboration!

Sophie Rose Hinerfeld is an NY based creator focused on sharing stories which empower young women to champion their own fate. Recent credits include Post Production Supervising the indie-feature Concessions and directing a reading of Tennessee Williams' play Spring Storm. She has in development her debut feature film Surface Tension.

Isobel Houseman is an NYC based filmmaker and writer. Having grown up amidst the mountains and valleys of Switzerland, Isobel is particularly drawn to how the fantastic and the whimsical can help us better understand ourselves. When she isn’t working, Isobel can usually be found at the front row of a concert, nearly burning batches of cookies, or dreaming up new worlds.

Growing up in the quietest corner of Brooklyn, Khiari originally wanted to pursue computer science. He got into NYU Tandon, realized his terrible mistake, and abandoned the lucrativeness and his father's approval for filmmaking. It was the one decision he's ever made within six seconds. His favorite movie is Ratatouille.

Kwesi Jones, GRAD

The Wrath of Othell-Yo!

Kwesi Jones is writer and director from Atlanta, Georgia. As an MFA candidate in the NYU Graduate Film program, Kwesi has served as the teaching assistant for Professor Spike Lee and is the recipient of the 2024-2025 Spike Lee Production Fund and the 2024 Black Family Thesis Film Prize.

She Sure is a-Beamin’!

Mia Renee Jones is a filmmaker. Mia tends towards melancholia. Mia obsesses over the supernatural, the alien, the divine, the ethereal and intangible. She endeavors to use images and sound to bridge the gap between words and the heart.

Tornado

Jack Kendrick is a New York-based filmmaker and a recent alumnus of NYU Grad Film. His thesis, Tornado, has screened at numerous festivals and is being developed into a feature shooting in early 2026. Notably, he curated Boys Do Cry, a showcase at the Parrish Art Museum exploring masculinity and boyhood today.

His creative journey included a stint in a London-based immersive directing program, which expanded his storytelling prowess. With a passion for visual storytelling, Ethan brings a wealth of experience and fresh perspective to the screen.

Dean Eliades Kobs is a story artist, animator, and director from sunny Phoenix, AZ. He is one half of the twin duo known to parents and family friends as "The Littles," and thus cares greatly for the many little things - and creatures - in life. Dean is a true believer in the limitless medium of animation.

Harshith S. Kotni, UG

Dreamline

Harshith S. Kotni is an award-winning Indian American director, writer, and producer whose work has screened at the Oscar Qualifying Tasveer Film Festival, SXSW, and more. Raised in a traditional Hindu family while immersed in the tech industry of Silicon Valley, Harshith brings a unique perspective highlighting the rise of the 1st generation Indian American experience during the 2000s tech boom. Harshith began his career directing short plays in Ohlone College’s award-winning theatre program before launching a successful videography business, filming over 50 music videos, commercials, political campaign videos, and wedding events. While at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he directed Dreamline and Prematho, films that delve into familial dynamics and cultural identity. His experience in line producing and unit production management on projects such as the SXSW Jury Award winner Marvin is Sorry and feature films starring Sean Gunn and Jermaine Fowler honed his skills in budget management and coordinating complex productions. Beyond filmmaking, Harshith is also a skilled tabla player and a 2nd-degree Black Belt, further showcasing his dedication to discipline and artistry.
