Originally from Dubai UAE, he has a background in fine arts, and blends 3D modeling with rotoscoping into his frame-by-frame, hand-drawn colorful animations. He is most passionate about creating short-form content like animated visualizers and music videos.

    Xinying Lao (b. 1997) is a director, writer, and editor from Guangxi, China. Based in China and New York, she is an MFA candidate in the Graduate Film program at NYU. With a background in documentary and a BA in journalism, Xinying has explored diverse stories of people, fostering connections through her keen interest in the impact of individual narrations. Her films, often gaze through a child’s perspective, deconstruct the intricate layers of adulthood, highlighting the genuine essence and vulnerability of humanity. Xiaohui and His Cows (2023) is her second-year project at NYU, which was awarded Special Mention of the Generation Kplus International Jury at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2023.

    Taylor is a Cinematographer based in NYC. Before filmmaking, he worked as a Software Engineer, developing mobile applications in the healthcare industry. He is currently a Cinematography Fellow at NYU Tisch Graduate Film, where he is the recipient of the Ang Lee Scholarship. He was recently selected for the Gotham Marcie Bloom Fellowship in Film, awarded annually to five NYC-based filmmakers. His upcoming directorial debut short film, Layover, starring Young Mazino, was the winner of the NYU Black Family Prize.

    Carin Leong is a Singaporean documentary filmmaker and multimedia journalist based in New York. Her projects have received support from Field of Vision, Singapore International Film Festival, IN-DOCS, and Tribeca Film Institute. Her work has appeared in Scientific American, Hakai Magazine, and The Atlantic. She holds a master's degree in science journalism from Columbia University and is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.

    Naa Adei Mante is an aspiring comedy Writer-Director currently based in New York City. Originally born to Ghanaian immigrants in Washington, DC, she leverages her multi-layered ethnicity to create bold stories that explore those internal, unspoken, and even unpleasant emotions that Black people, but primarily Black women, struggle with in a post-colonial era. Naa Adei received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Southern California (USC). She was one of twenty initial recipients of the Mork Family full-tuition merit scholarship. Upon graduating, Naa Adei worked as a technical analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency, and then became a technical specialist at the United States Department of State. She is currently a thesis student pursuing a M.F.A. in Film at New York University’s (NYU) Tisch School of the Arts (TSOA), and is a TSOA Hollywood Foreign Press Association Scholarship Awardee. In her spare time, Naa Adei loves to explore the world and uses her #TravelFails to motivate her storytelling. She has visited over forty five countries to date!

    Mateo Martinez is a Colombian filmmaker based in New York City. As a founding member of RESET Motion-Holdings and Péndulo Colombia, Mateo has been driven to utilize storytelling as a medium for impact and spiritual transcendence. After graduating with honors from New York University, Mateo has dedicated himself to crafting narratives that represent the psyche, while simultaneously working with brands and artists to implement storytelling strategies to facilitate and enhance connection. Mateo seeks to represent his culture in a way that deviates from preconceived narratives perpetuated by categorizing Colombia due to its violent history. Mateo aims to portray the complexity and richness of humanity amidst the forces of nature, where magic, mysticism, and rawness coexist to generate fascinating ecosystems.

His work has screened on HBO Max, SportsNet New York and at numerous international and Oscar qualifying film festivals. He misses going to the movies with his dad. Jason is currently pursuing his MFA in filmmaking at New York University. He is the recipient of the Maurice Kanbar scholarship and the Peter R. Gould scholarship. He is a finalist for the ARRI Volker Bahnemann award for outstanding cinematography.

This informs his interest in examining how others experience it- and how often in the grimmest of circumstances, there is only a fine line between tragedy and comedy.

After attending Phillips Academy and working on Villanova University’s Sankofa (2019), a Student Academy award winning documentary, Vincent worked as a freelance cinematographer, editor and graphic designer in NYC. His clients included Birddogs, Liberty Harbor and Marin Blvd Enterprises. Before the pandemic, he trained at UCB in improv comedy. Vincent is currently an MFA candidate at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Kanbar Institute of Film and Television. Films that Vincent has produced have been selected at the Cleveland International Film Festival, the Student Academy Awards, the Austin Comedy Film Festival, the Soho International Film Festival, the Malibu International Film Festival and more.

    Janae Motley is a May 2023 Tisch School of the Arts graduate. Animation became a clear career path for her at an early age. Growing up, she spent most of her weekends enjoying classics such as Courage the Cowardly Dog and The Mighty B!. She spent most of her senior year finishing Zach's Day Out, and she couldn't be happier with the finished film. She regrets nothing, except the one instance where she ate two Wendy’s burgers, nuggets, and fries; Dunkin Donuts; and drank soda all in one night. Her goals include freelance animation, character and background design, storyboarding for cartoons and anime, writing novels, and eventually starting her own studio.

Growing up in Argentina, he was immersed in the rich jazz, blues, rock and roll, and hip hop culture of Buenos Aires at an early age. Between the thriving theatre and cinema scene in the cosmopolitan city and the peaceful contrast of Miramar, his family’s small town by the sea, Mateo found the balance between constant hectic stimuli and stagnant silence for thought and writing.

    Hanna Gray Organschi is a New England filmmaker pursuing her MFA in Film at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Hanna received the 2021 New York Women in Film & Television Scholarship for her breakout short film BEA, SERIOUSLY (Hamptons International Film Festival), won the NYU Tisch Wasserman King Award for her short film MERCI, POPPY starring Victoria Pedretti (AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, PONYBOI, ORIGIN), and produced Angalis Field’s short film THE DALLES (Sundance Film Festival 2023). She is the recipient of the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative Reproductive Rights Accelerator Grant and the Spike Lee Production Fund for her upcoming thesis film F*CK THAT GUY and was selected for the 2024 Sundance Screenwriters Lab and the 2024 NYU Production Lab Development Studio with her feature film RUBBER HUT. Hanna’s work explores strong, stubborn female protagonists who seek autonomy with self-knowledge.

His short documentaries have taken place in France, Spain, Morocco, the US, and now the Metaverse. In this century where people physically travel and digitally connect more than ever before, César strives to tell these stories of the new world.
