Mateo Martinez is a Colombian filmmaker based in New York City. As a founding member of RESET Motion-Holdings and Péndulo Colombia, Mateo has been driven to utilize storytelling as a medium for impact and spiritual transcendence. After graduating with honors from New York University, Mateo has dedicated himself to crafting narratives that represent the psyche, while simultaneously working with brands and artists to implement storytelling strategies to facilitate and enhance connection. Mateo seeks to represent his culture in a way that deviates from preconceived narratives perpetuated by categorizing Colombia due to its violent history. Mateo aims to portray the complexity and richness of humanity amidst the forces of nature, where magic, mysticism, and rawness coexist to generate fascinating ecosystems.
