Moxie Peng is a filmmaker and screenwriter from a small town in Hunan, China. Started her filmmaking career in Beijing, she now lives in New York.

As a queer artist from China, Moxie's subjects are often the farmers and workers in modern China, immigrant ethnic minorities in the US, and the folks in the queer community and often addresses intersectionalities between them. Despite the deeply heartbreaking truth she often tells, as an artist she is still hoping that the twisted storytelling would surprise the viewer and bring a touch of hope into that cruel world.

Currently, Moxie is living in New York and studying in the Filmmaking MFA program at NYU.
