Congratulations to Adriana Guevara for being nominated for The Anne V. Coates Award in Student Editing.
Adriana Guevara is a Peruvian, third-year undergraduate student at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her time at NYU has been dedicated to the post-production process, where she hopes to make a career out of editing feature films. Outside of the editor’s chair, she also enjoys production design and art direction. She is originally from Houston, Texas.
Applicants in this category were provided dailies and a lined script, from the T.V. show, Chicago Med, where they were told to cut the scene.
The late Anne V. Coates, ACE, earned an Academy Award for David Lean’s Lawrence of Arabia and received an Honorary Award at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 2016 Governors Awards. She earned four additional Oscar nominations for Becket, The Elephant Man, In the Line of Fire and Out of Sight.
ACE honors her contribution to the art of editing by naming this award, the “Anne V. Coates Student Editing Competition Award”.
