Congratulations to UGFTV Alum Jared Peraglia, on having his film, "Here to Stay" as a finalist for a Student Academy Award. Peraglia created the film for his thesis while taking Professor Alice Elliott’s advanced documentary class. It is among the top 1% of entrants as only 24 films from around the world are selected, nearly 1,800 films from across the globe qualified this year.
Fellow Tisch alums on the film include Samantha Garcia (’22), DP Eliza Beltz (’22), associate producer Nick Muhart (’21), associate producer deborah Shonack (’22), drone operator Jack McGovern (’21), colorist Mariano Flores Rodriguez (’22), and composer Aurelie Webb ('21).
Also, "Here to Stay," is an official selection for the Oscar-qualifying 23rd annual Woodstock Film Festival. The world premiere is Sept. 30th at 10am in Woodstock, New York.
