Creative Dance Science Technologies

We will explore a Greenian model of dance aesthetics in tandem with the familiar pillars of the scientific method—toward discovering their potential intersection within Dance Science as its own field of inquiry. In light of our working interdisciplinary framework, we will use our experiences as inhabitants of articulate and aesthetically sensitive bodies to generate and analyze quantitative and qualitative data in the Dance Science laboratory. We will consider future questions for the field of Dance Science, and especially those that seek to synthesize aesthetic and scientific ways of knowing in order to solve problems specific to dance and perhaps beyond.
