During the summer of 2016, much of my time as an intern at NYU's Fales Library was spent preparing moving image collections for off-site storage. This involved assigning unique identifiers to items in each collection and preparing some collections for shipment. For one collection, the MIX NYC Film Festival, I cut with Ethafoam planks to fill in empty spaces within the boxes and applied velcro tabs to the lids of the boxes in order to ensure secure shipment of the tapes. I also worked with Archive Space to include URLs of scanned film inspection sheet PDFs to accession records.
