Robert Anen, Digital Library Technology Services, NYU Libraries, Fall 2016, Mellon
My internship for the fall 2016 semester took place in the Digital Library Technology Services located in NYU's Bobst Library. My tasks included learning how to use the computer program Archive-It efficiently, performing quality control and quality assurance actions in NYU's web archiving workflow, and setting up and initiating new captures of websites. I spent almost three full work days every week performing these tasks and maintaining the Archive of Contemporary Composer's Websites Project. It was interesting to work with the learn about Archive-It as well as the challenges one faces when archiving websites with large amounts of media.
