The Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers University was a perfect fit for me. I have a deep love of jazz music and audio-visual material, so I couldn't pass up the chance to work with both. I felt privileged to work with the knowledgeable staff there. I spent my internship inventorying more than 400 video tapes and re-housing more than 100 reels of film. The audio-visual collections at IJS are of great, historical value and are in much better shape now. I'm really happy with the work I accomplished.
