Shira Peltzman, World Cinema Foundation, Fall 2012

The World Cinema Foundation (WCF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, restoring, and disseminating neglected films from around the world in particular, those countries lacking the financial and technical ability to do so.

My primary responsibilities at the WCF were to provide administrative support for the Managing Director, and to liaise with Cecilia Cenciarelli (Restoration and Archival Manager at the Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna) regarding the WCF's current and ongoing restoration processes. I also researched future film restoration projects and assisted in the drafting of funding and grant proposals for restoration projects.
