"Project X"
APP '22 Judy Tate wrote the currently showing play "Project X," acting at the forefront of change as current events at a modern college campus are explored.
"Project X' is a devised Theatre Fairfield production about race and privilege centered on Fairfield University, but reflective of America's 21st century struggle with race and social justice. To produce "Project X," Tate worked alongside the play's director Godfrey Simmons and students, alumni, faculty, and staff at Fairfield University to assess Fairfield's perspectives and ecosystem in regards to race and privilege. Tate and Simmons interviewed over 50 people, transcribed parts of the interviews, and transformed all of the information attained into a script.
