Tisch at Sundance
Each year, NYU Tisch alumni are affiliated with a number of projects at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT.
NYU Tisch School of the Arts is proud to celebrate its alumni, students, and faculty who have projects at the Festival. For over 30 years, Tisch has gathered at the Festival to celebrate this incredible group of storytellers. We hope you'll join us this year at TISCH ON MAIN, the official hub for the NYU and Tisch community at the Sundance Film Festival.

SUNDANCE 2024
NYU Tisch School of the Arts was thrilled to return to the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. This year, 99 alumni worked on projects in the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. Half of the feature films in the U.S. Dramatic Competition and three of the 10 films in the U.S. Documentary Competition were written, directed, and/or produced by Tisch alumni! In addition, 5 of the 8 films in the 40th Edition Celebration Screenings & Events have a Tisch affiliation.

SUNDANCE 2023
NYU Tisch School of the Arts was thrilled to return to Park City for the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, the school’s 30th year celebrating its extraordinary community of alumni, students, and faculty. Overall, our community worked on 36% of all films in the 2023 festival, which includes 47% of feature length films and 19% of short films and indie episodic programs. Congratulations to the 13 alumni who won an award for their work!

Sundance 2022
NYU Tisch School of the Arts was thrilled to return to the 2022 Sundance Film Festival virtually for the school’s 29th year celebrating its extraordinary community of alumni, students, and faculty. Congratulations to the 11 alumni and faculty who won awards! This year, seven of the films in competition and a total of 34 films are written, directed, or produced by Tisch alumni, students, or faculty. Tisch artists worked on 30% of the projects featured at the Sundance Film Festival.

In 2021, six of the films in competition were written, directed, or produced by a Tisch alumnus/a, and Tisch artists worked on 1 in 4 projects at the Sundance Film Festival. Congratulations to the Tisch alumni and friends who won an award at the Festival! This year, the Tisch community won 1/3 of the awards at the Sundance Film Festival.

Tisch celebrated its 27th year at the Sundance Film Festival, where nine of the films in competition were written, directed, or produced by a Tisch alumnus/a, and more than 40% of the features and nearly ⅓ of the projects overall in the festival have a Tisch affiliation.
