Tisch at Sundance

Each year, NYU Tisch alumni are affiliated with a number of projects at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT.

For 30 years, NYU Tisch Alumni Relations has hosted an annual alumni party to celebrate our alumni, students, and faculty who have projects at the festival.

  • Sundance 2022

    NYU Tisch School of the Arts was thrilled to return to the 2022 Sundance Film Festival virtually for the school’s 29th year celebrating its extraordinary community of alumni, students, and faculty. Congratulations to the 11 alumni and faculty who won awards! This year, seven of the films in competition and a total of 34 films are written, directed, or produced by Tisch alumni, students, or faculty. Tisch artists worked on 30% of the projects featured at the Sundance Film Festival.

  • Sundance 2021

    In 2021, six of the films in competition were written, directed, or produced by a Tisch alumnus/a, and Tisch artists worked on 1 in 4 projects at the Sundance Film Festival. Congratulations to the Tisch alumni and friends who won an award at the Festival! This year, the Tisch community won 1/3 of the awards at the Sundance Film Festival.

    Tisch celebrated its 27th year at the Sundance Film Festival, where nine of the films in competition were written, directed, or produced by a Tisch alumnus/a, and more than 40% of the features and nearly ⅓ of the projects overall in the festival have a Tisch affiliation.
