NYU students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend a conversation with successful and Emmy-winning television creators, Bill Lawrence (Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Scrubs), Janine Sherman Barrois (Big Cigar, Claws, Self Made, Criminal Minds) and Chris Sheridan (Resident Alien, Family Guy).
THE NOODLE AND THE SATELLITE
An interactive workshop aimed at breaking the “fill-the-moment addiction.” Yolanda Cuomo, a designer with decades of experience crafting tactile, materially rich print publications, will discuss how to resist the compulsion to fill every second with screen time and instead return to stillness and intentional attention. Rather than defaulting to the instant scroll, the social check-in, or the quick glance at work emails, we will consider how to shape meaning with our time.

Teaching and Learning with Generative AI Virtual Symposium: Group Conversations Across NYU Units
DPI will be spotlighted for its founding role in the AI Working Group, an Initiative for Creative Research aimed at developing a resource program to support AI-related faculty research. The Roundtable’s focus has since evolved into a broader conversation about intelligences, knowledge production, and the potential applications of AI in teaching and creative practice. In January, Dean Polendo formally charged the Roundtable as a Tisch working group.
