NYU Office of the Provost’s 2026 "Teaching and Learning with Generative AI Virtual Symposium"

DPI will be spotlighted for its founding role in the AI Working Group, an Initiative for Creative Research aimed at developing a resource program to support AI-related faculty research. The Roundtable’s focus has since evolved into a broader conversation about intelligences, knowledge production, and the potential applications of AI in teaching and creative practice. In January, Dean Polendo formally charged the Roundtable as a Tisch working group.

This symposium explores how discipline-specific communities of practice, working groups, advisory groups, and learning communities, composed of faculty, educational technologists, administrators, and/or students collaboratively shape teaching and learning practices, guidance, and policies related to generative AI in the classroom, while building community, advancing academic cultural change, and empowering all members of the university.

Join us for NYU’s 6th Teaching and Learning with Generative AI Virtual Symposium: Group Conversations Across NYU Units, hosted by NYU Office of the Provost.
